Sumario:Both in History and Social Anthropology, studies about the differentways of resistance of oppressed groups have become relevant in thelast years. In America, slave population of African origin is one of the social sectorsof major interest. The resistance of slaves in those regions adopteddifferent aspects according to the socio-economic characteristics andspecial aspects of each region.New theoretical approaches have widened the concept of resistancethus giving rise to a more complex definition. This paper focuses on escape as one of the solutions that Córdoba slavesresorted to in order to show their discontent in a situation ofsubordination. In our research we consider the slave as a historical active subjectcapable of generating changes through its actions within the limits setby the social structure he belongs in.
