Sumario:The author examines the theories known up to date; ha says though it is difficult to recognize the true theory, that which causes the process, is possible to find it by means of a prudent and logical study. That all the manifestations, with their repercussion in the general state, hurting specially those organs affected to the neutralization or elimination of the toxins, reveal that it is a toxemy. That notwithstanding the clinical “tableaux”, exist a quantity of elements of clinical and anatomo-pathological ordre which prove that the toxin is the same in every gestation manifestation, which are conditioned according to the predisposition and lability of the pregnant’s different organs.
