Sumario:Almost since its publication, Don Quixote had an attractive magnetism in writers from different languages and different times, who imitated, continued and rewroted the Cervantes's best literary work. Argentine is possibly the american country that most has contributed to increased this literary heritage. Contemporary to the famous «Pierre Menard, autor del Quijote» published by Jorge Luis Borges in 1939 and 1941 (perhaps the paradigmatic rewriting of a Cervantine text in the argentine literature) will rise an original and unclasificable text: a political satire of the argentine reality of the River Plate, looking for an argentine identity. This work is El nuevo gobierno de Sancho, published by the Jesuit Leonardo Castellani in 1942. The purpose of this article is to do a comparative study with Don Quixote.
