Sumario:In this work we study the deformation of a thin filament immersed in different fluids when subjected to a compressive force. The filament shape is analyzed for different magnitudes of the applied compression and for different rheological properties of the medium: purely viscous, purely elastic and displaying viscoelastic behavior.
