520 |a As it is well known how important is the fulfillment of coid requirements in deeiduous fruit trees; there was performed a statistical survey on the degree-hours of coid that take place in winter at the environment of the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine. It was proved in a record of 53 years (1911-1963) that excepting January, during the rest of the year it is possible the oecurrence of temperatures lower than 7o C and that in a animal average there are totalized about 650 hours under that level; taking place with a marked annual variability. The survey is complemented with the determination of the relation between dormancy units and the monthly average temperature, that during June and July reaches its maximum eorrelation of —0,93. Besides, it is presented the phenological behaviour of a series of plum trees varieties during different years with a diverse quantity of dormancy units during the rest period and it was verified the relation between that bioclimatic factor and the flowering of plants.
