Sumario:The first results of the analysis on the ceramic set of the Alero 2 site of the Vado de las 3 Cascadas are presented in this work, with a radiocarbon date of 1470 ± 60 years BP, LP 2955, carried out on associated bone material, inserted in the only stratigraphic component. The archaeological site is located on the left bank of the Piedra Blanca river, in the foothills of the eastern section of the Sierra de Comechingones (Dpto. Río Cuarto, Córdoba Province, Argentina). Technological, morphological, functional and stylistic aspects of the record are characterized as the general homogeneity of the fabric and a high degree of fragmentation of the sherds were examined. Three dimensions were analyzed: fabric, shape, and iconography. In this way, it was possible to achieve an approximation to the technological strategies of these indigenous societies with regard to possible supply guidelines and local selection of raw materials, forms of production and use of the different ceramic containers.
