Sumario:The work is part of the studies on indigenous populations of the Pampean area affected by the enocidal policies of the Argentine State during the 1870s and 1880s. In this regard, we seek to provide records on the socio-economic trajectories of the groups settled in the south of the province of Córdoba in order to reflect on the way in which the condition of “submitted” was articulated with that of “subaltern”. To this end, we qualitatively and quantitatively address the baptism, marriage and death annotations (1870-1900) of the Río Cuarto region, the records of the Second Census of the Argentine Republic (1895) as well as edited sources and contemporary accounts of indigenous descendants.
