Sumario:Buenos Aires Unione e Benevolenza, founded in 1858, is the most ancient italian mutual aid association of the American continent: its wide archive offers important information about italians immigrants arrive, rooting and aggregation in Argentina since the second half of the 19th century. Exposing some of the results obtained thanks to a recent work of detection and cataloging of primary sources, the article focuses the attention on a repository until now forgotten, claiming its importance in the study of migration dinamics in the Plata region.
