Sumario:Carlos Trillo was a central figure in the Argentine comic book field for almost four decades. As a multipositional agent in the cultural field, he innovated by introducing narrative production methods based on dominant styles in Western central countries. Additionally, he contributed to the establishment of comic book criticism and reflection in the country, enabling him to maintain a global perspective on this aesthetic and expressive medium. In this paper, we reconstruct a portion of Carlos Trillo's trajectory and early work, drawing inspiration from theoretical elements of Pierre Bourdieu's (1995) and Raymond Williams' (1994) sociological perspectives. We analyze the disputes and strategies of innovation and the construction of time in a specific cultural field, observing the author's innovations in artistic and cultural forms (genres, aesthetic languages, themes, and his construction of the position of a comic book critic).
