Large international companies produced competitive events of various scales in an attempt to turn the practice of CrossFit into a sport. This made an impact in subjects who self-identified as athletes, who claimed professionalizing their sports practice by transforming various aspects of their daily lives in the search for the excellence of their performances (areté). |
