description This essay is part of the Final Integrative Project: “Invisible Geographies: Environmental Landscape Revaluation of the International Access in Posadas and Recovery of Its Historical Relationship with the Area”; from the Specialization in Landscape Design and Planning at the National University of Córdoba (FAUD – UNC). The research aims to enhance the landscape of the residual spaces at the international access on the riverbank and to create landscape connections with the systems on the other side of the wall. It also seeks to achieve an ecological objective by restoring the environmental structure and biodiversity along the coastal edge. Additionally, it has a socio-cultural aim of engaging with the region's collective imagination to counteract the intervention's negative impact at the border center. The theoretical framework of the Final Integrative Project is based on the hypothesis that “Landscape intervention in the area will facilitate the reconstruction of the collective memory of the place and enhance the environmental quality of the urban systems interwoven within the sector.” This hypothesis underscores the importance of revaluing these spaces not only from an ecological perspective but also from a socio-cultural one. The objectives and hypothesis presented in the Final Integrative Project provide the theoretical foundation for this essay, enabling a deeper understanding of the impact of landscape intervention in the area and its potential to contribute to the reconstruction of the urban fabric and the recovery of the collective memory of the place. Subsequently, a brief context of the study site and the urban scale in which it is situated will be provided, highlighting the particular challenges it faces. Following this, a pilot project proposal will be introduced to achieve the objectives outlined in the theoretical framework.

El presente ensayo forma parte del Trabajo Final Integrador: “Geografías Invisibles: Revalorización paisajística ambiental del Acceso Internacional de la ciudad de Posadas y recuperación de su relación histórica del sector”; de la Carrera de Especialización en Diseño y Planificación del Paisaje de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (FAUD – UNC). La citada investigación tiene como objetivos paisajísticos poner en valor el paisaje de los espacios residuales del acceso internacional en el borde ribereño y generar conexiones paisajísticas con los sistemas del otro lado del muro; persigue el objetivo ecológico de recuperar la estructura ecológica y la biodiversidad en el borde costero. Además de proponerse un objetivo socio-cultural que es el de trabajar con el imaginario colectivo de la región, para revertir el impacto negativo producido por la intervención en el centro de frontera.  El marco teórico del TFI se fundamenta en la hipótesis que “La intervención paisajística en el sector posibilitará la reconstrucción de la memoria colectiva del lugar y enriquecerá la calidad ambiental de los sistemas urbanos que se entrelazan en el sector”. Esta hipótesis subraya la importancia de revalorizar este espacio, no solo desde una perspectiva ecológica, sino también socio-cultural. Los objetivos y la hipótesis presentados en el trabajo final integrador proporcionan la base teórica para este ensayo, facilitando una comprensión más profunda del impacto de la intervención paisajística en el sitio y su potencial para contribuir a la reconstrucción del tejido urbano y la recuperación de la memoria colectiva del lugar. Seguidamente, se ofrece un breve contexto del sitio de estudio y la escala urbana en la que se inserta, señalando las situaciones particulares a las que se enfrenta.
