Sumario:The following work revises some of the manifestations of fear caused by the propagation of Communism throughout Latin America during Arturo Frondizi’s government. The fact that the Cuban Revolution was proclaimed as Marxist promoted that the local left-wing groups started to be the object of analysis for those who saw them as dangerous elements from the Soviet Union. The possible links between the political scenario of Argentina and the island raised alarm among important and influential political sectors. It also exacerbated the anti-Communism, which was already part of their ideological structure through a “performative feature” which was a decisive influence in the institutional stability. Generalized explanations of the crisis of the government of Arturo Frondizi have neglected the anticommunist pressure as a destabilizing element and given as a sufficient condition for the explanation of the events of March 1962-anti-Peronism Peronism dynamics. It is proposed to introduce as necessary for the overthrow of Frondizi, the anticommunist pressure.
