Producction, flowers, horticulture, decade, greenhouse Horticulture education indicators sustainability horticultura sustentabilidad indicadores educación Agroecology proposes the design and management of more sustainable agroecosystems, promoting an alternative vision of rural development, which includes ecological, social, economic and political aspects. Under this productive paradigm, a research project was presented within the framework of the PROIINDIT₁ program with two lines of work, one technical-productive and the other socio-institutional. For this, an agroecological experimental and demonstrative area was devised in the Campo Escuela of the FCA-UNC that will allow evaluating sustainability through the MESMIS₂ methodology. This project, prepared and executed by a team of teachers, students and researchers from FCA-UNC and INTI, is in full implementation. The first actions involved the design and installation of the agroecological infrastructure, and sustainability indicators were defined and measured to monitor over time. Then, experimental and demonstrative trials of various crops under bio-input treatments were installed. Currently, socio-institutional indicators are being designed to assess the impact of the demonstration area on high school students and fruit and vegetable producers. From the data collected during the course of the project and around both axes of work, academic products will be prepared to be presented in different dissemination instances. La Agroecología propone el diseño y el manejo de agroecosistemas más sustentables, promoviendo una visión alternativa de desarrollo rural, que incluye aspectos ecológicos, sociales, económicos y políticos. Bajo este paradigma productivo, se presentó un proyecto de investigación en el marco del programa PROIINDIT₁ con dos ejes de trabajo, uno técnico-productivo y otro socio-institucional. Para ello, se ideó un área experimental y demostrativa agroecológica en el Campo Escuela de la FCA-UNC que permitirá evaluar la sustentabilidad mediante la metodología MESMIS₂. Este proyecto, elaborado y ejecutado por un equipo de docentes, estudiantes e investigadores de la FCA-UNC y del INTI, se encuentra en plena implementación. Las primeras acciones involucraron el diseño e instalación de la infraestructura agroecológica, y se definieron y midieron indicadores de sustentabilidad para hacer un seguimiento en el tiempo. Luego, se instalaron ensayos experimentales y demostrativos de diversos cultivos bajo tratamientos de bioinsumos. Actualmente, se están diseñando los indicadores socio-institucionales para evaluar el impacto del área demostrativa en estudiantes de nivel medio y productores fruti-hortícolas. A partir de los datos recabados durante el transcurso del proyecto y en torno a ambos ejes de trabajo, se elaborarán productos académicos para ser presentados en diferentes instancias de difusión.
