Sumario:In this paper we present an instructional design that aims at knowing the potential of a social network from the development of an educational proposal on “biological diversity” for second year students of Secondary Education at a private institution in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. For the analysis of the results, the observations made during the didactic sequence, the students' productions, the answers to a questionnaire and an interview with the teacher were taken into account. The results allow us to recognize that the learning environment enabled the co-construction of knowledge (through the use of) social networks and the interrelation with different adolescents´ learning ecologies.
