Sumario:Gender violence is a social and public health problem. Based on the relevance of health care providers as privileged spaces to detect and intervene in these situations, during the period 2019-2020 a research was carried out at the Hospital Interzonal General de Agudos "Dr. Oscar E. Alende" of the city of Mar del Plata (Argentina), which aimed to know the scope and limits in the approach to situations of gender violence in women attending the hospital during the aforementioned period. This paper gathers the results of this research and some proposals, although preliminary, on possible actions that can be developed at the second level of care to improve our practices in relation to the approach to situations of gender violence.
