Sumario:This work has as references the discourse analysis from a French perspective, studies related to the alternative conceptions of students and the relevance of the didactic laboratory of physics in the initial formation of physics teachers. Its main objective is to advise a university professor through the presentation and analysis of research results in the field of Science Teaching. The data were constituted during two semesters, in the first semester, the classes were followed by the researcher and his observations constituted a field diary, in the second semester, the researcher advised the professor in charge of the didactic laboratory of physics, presenting the alternative conceptions that the students of that class had on themes that would be worked. The repercussion of the use of research results was analyzed through interviews with the professor, recorded, transcribed and analyzed through discourse analysis. The professor considered the contact with research results in the area of teaching significant and used them in his teaching practice. The relationship established between researchers from different areas was highlighted as relevant, and the advice provided has the potential to be applied in different disciplines.
