| Sumario: | This is a case study that addresses aspects related to Brazilian Art and Literature in Science Teaching in a public school in the city of São Paulo (SP), Brazil. We developed a didactic sequence in which we worked on solving open-ended problems, besides reading and textual production in science classes with a first-grade high school class. To do this, we used cordel, a popular Brazilian literature with a poem structure. Our research is based on the Theory of Historical-Cultural Activity, which understands activity as a complex system to be understood in its entirety. By analyzing the results obtained, we understand that literary artistic production provides students with a different way of organizing the projects developed and the scientific knowledge of more objective writing modes such as reports, for example, opening opportunities for the development and improvement of new skills. |
