Sumario:We present the research carried out in El Picadero quarry. We describe the main traits of the site, the excavation methodology, the radiocarbon dates obtained, the quarrying dynamic, and a preliminary analysis of the archaeological remains. The site is interpreted as an open-pit quarry, based on the presence of pits and open-air galleries, that resulted from rock provisioning activities, along with large piles of lithic debris. All of this entailed a high impact on the landscape and important amounts of cooperative labor through time.
