| Sumario: | Epiphyte ferns on Alsophila setosa (Cyatheaceae, Pteridophyta) from Misiones province, Argentina. Trunks of tree ferns offer especially distinctive substrates to support epiphytes. In this paper, ferns that grow on Alsophila setosa Kaulf. from Misiones were studied. A total of 21 species, from 10 genera and 5 families, were recorded. Polypodiaceae (8) had greater specific diversity. Richest genera were Asplenium (6) and Pecluma (4). A key is presented to identify the taxa involved. The high epiphytic diversity found suggests that Alsophila setosa plays an important role as a biodiversity reservoir in the Atlantic forest. |
