Sumario:Systemic Lupus erythematosus (SLE) is the model of systemic autoimmune disease characterized by multiple organ involvement and fluctuating disease activity. The prognosis of SLE improved significantly in the last decades and not only the possibility of greater therapeutic options but other factors such as the development of strategies related to the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular risk factors, infection control and immunization contributed to this advance.
