In a unique journey in political and academic life, her reflections upon the creation (2008) and security strategies of the Pacifying Police Units (Unidade de Polícia Pacificadora Social - UPPS), which aimed at the control of black and impoverished white populations on the margin of city life, denounced existing racism - which resulted in her summary execution.
