In a unique journey in political and academic life, her reflections upon the creation (2008) and security strategies of the Pacifying Police Units (Unidade de Polícia Pacificadora Social - UPPS), which aimed at the control of black and impoverished white populations on the margin of city life, denounced existing racism - which resulted in her summary execution. Resumo: Argumentações em torno de racismo vigentes no século XXI no Brasil, desde mestrado da socióloga e ativista negra Marielle Franco, ex-moradora da favela Maré, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Produzido de dentro do cotidiano de periferias urbanas no Brasil, em lutas por direitos e cidadania de habitantes de conglomerados populacionais conhecidos como favelas.
