Sumario:In this article, research results are systematized around the founding process and daily life of the Normal Schools in the province of Córdoba in the period from 1878 to the end of the 1920s. Particularly, come tensions and tendencies about the founding stage, paying attention not only to the regulations but also to the subjects, practices and pedagogies in dispute. It is sustained in the analysis that these institutions were erected and consolidated by putting into play processes that were defined on different scales, with a multiplicity of actors, in the complex plot between nation and provinces and between tradition and modernization, in school settings regulated by regulations that tended towards homogenization but characterized by heterogeneity.
