In this article, factors associated with the internal migrations of Argentina are analyzed. A theoretical discussion of the different migratory perspectives is presented, distinguishing between individual-economic and structural-social approaches. Using the migration matrix for the 24 districts, obtained with Redatam corresponding to census 2010, migration indicators (gross and net migration rates, and migration efficiency index, among others) were calculated. A script was also developed to make new circular diagrams that visually summarize migratory flows, constituting a colorful and useful instrument to have a more complete and faster panorama than the traditional matrix. The main migratory flows between provinces were identified. Net migration rates were positive in Patagonia, negative in northern Argentina and notably in Buenos Aires City (CABA). In the Pampeana region, flows are high and migration rates were lower. Subsequently, a more detailed analysis was carried out using the Annual Survey of Urban Households of the same year, which has data at the individual level and additional variables to carry out a more in-depth analysis. Attraction and expulsion factors were identified, among the main conclusions income is an important factor for attracting migrants, as indicated by neoclassical theory, but sociodemographic factors such as education were also considered. In general, migrations are associated with higher incomes, but also higher unemployment rates, which may be due to difficulties in finding employment in the new destination.

En el presente trabajo, se analizan factores asociados con las migraciones internas de Argentina. Se presenta una discusión teórica de las distintas perspectivas migratorias distinguiendo entre enfoques de carácter individual-económico y aquellos estructurales-sociales. Utilizando la matriz de migraciones para las 24 jurisdicciones, obtenida con Redatam correspondiente a datos censales de 2010, se calcularon indicadores de migraciones (tasas de migración neta y bruta e índice de eficacia migratoria, entre otros). También se desarrolló un script para realizar novedosos diagramas circulares que resumen visualmente los flujos migratorios constituyendo un vistoso y útil instrumento para tener un panorama más completo y rápido que la tradicional matriz. Se identificaron los principales flujos migratorios entre provincias. Las tasas netas de migración fueron positivas en la Patagonia y negativas en el norte argentino y notablemente en Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (CABA). En la región pampeana, los flujos son elevados y las tasas migratorias son bajas. Posteriormente se efectuó un análisis más detallado utilizando la Encuesta Anual de Hogares Urbanos del mismo año, la cual posee datos a nivel individual y variables adicionales para realizar un análisis más profundo. Se identificaron factores de atracción y expulsión; entre las principales conclusiones, el ingreso es un factor importante de atracción de migrantes, como indica la teoría neoclásica, pero también se consideraron factores sociodemográficos como educación. En general, las migraciones están asociadas con ingresos más altos, aunque con tasas de desocupación mayores, lo cual puede deberse a dificultades para conseguir empleo en el nuevo destino. No presente trabalho, são analisados os fatores associados às migrações internas da Argentina. É apresentada uma discussão teórica sobre as diferentes perspectivas migratórias, distinguindo entre as abordagens econômico-individual e social-estrutural. Utilizando a matriz de migração das 23 províncias e da CABA, obtida com o Redatam correspondente aos dados censitários de 2010, foram calculados os indicadores de migração (taxas de migração bruta e líquida, índice de eficiência da migração, entre outros). Também foi desenvolvido um roteiro para fazer novos diagramas circulares que sintetizam visualmente os fluxos migratórios, constituindo um instrumento colorido e útil para se ter um panorama mais completo e rápido que a matriz tradicional. Foram identificados os principais fluxos migratórios entre províncias. As taxas líquidas de migração foram positivas na Patagônia e negativas no norte da Argentina e principalmente na CABA. Na região dos Pampas, os fluxos são altos e as taxas de migração são baixas. Posteriormente, procedeu-se a uma análise mais detalhada utilizando a Pesquisa Anual de Domicílios Urbanos do mesmo ano, que possui dados a nível individual e variáveis adicionais para uma análise mais aprofundada. Foram identificados fatores de atração e expulsão, dentre as principais conclusões a renda é um fator importante para a atração de migrantes, conforme indica a teoria neoclássica, mas fatores sociodemográficos como a escolaridade também foram considerados. Em geral, as migrações estão associadas a maiores rendas, embora com maiores taxas de desemprego, o que pode ser devido à dificuldade de encontrar emprego no novo destino.
