| Sumario: | he disputes over the definition of the canon in social theory have led to the consolidation of an androcentric disciplinary field that entails a series of voluntary forgetfulness of othervoices, other problems, other methods to study society, this forgetfulness are a form of epistemic violence. This article is based on the definition of the classical canon and its androcentric character; and exposes the evidence of its application at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Below, we present several contributions to the feminist critique of the canon, the erasure of women that it entails, and its effects on its application in the academic and professional sociological field. Finally, we take up different proposals about how to destabilize the canon, how to rewrite the history of the discipline against the erasure of women and rethink the sociology that we want to contribute to develop. |
