Isolation and pathogenicity test demonstrated that Stemphylium botryosum Wall. was the causal agent. Also the sexual stage, Pleospora herbarum Pers., was observed. En cultivos de cebolla (Allium cepa L.) c.v. Valenciana que finalizaban su ciclo, ubicados en el Departamento Cruz del Eje, Provincia de Córdoba, se observó la presencia de plantas con manchas apicales cloróticas que evolucionaban a necróticas, llegando en algunos casos a abarcar toda la hoja afectada. En base a los aislamientos realizados a partir de las lesiones de las plantas enfermas y de los resultados obtenidos en las pruebas de patogenicidad se determinó que el agente causal fue Stemphylium botryosum Wall. Fue observada su forma perfecta Pleospora herbarum Pers. .
