| Sumario: | A brick wall in an exhibition hall. In the centre, the book The Castle of Franz Kafka replaces a brick and produces a ripple in the wall. This homonymous work by Jorge Mendez Blake generates a moving image. So much so that their images went viral in the social network under the title "The power of a book". The objective of this work is to analyse this oeuvre, especially concerning its construction of spaces from the concept of "dwelling" by Martin Heidegger, according to which not only space is physically inhabiting but also the same language is our home. Finally, having examined these aspects that include both the work of Blake and Kafka, we will return to the image in social networks to consider the senses contained in this reception of the work. |
