Sumario:This paper aims to explore the impact on the Cuban Revolution in the weekly paper Marcha. The reception of the Revolution will be analyzed since its beginning and the most significant events until the Bahia de Cochinos conflict, from the perspective of this group of Uruguayan intellectuals. The experience of the Cuban Revolution allows these Uruguayan intellectuals to establish a connection with the Latin-American reality and to project a revolutionary future in a region, which due to its historic origin shares the same problems related to dependency. In order to carry out this work, some issues of the weekly paper Marcha will be used which are linked to the Cuban Revolution.
