To do this, firstly, we will consider Lacan's notion of body as an image sustained by the void of the object, relating it to the notion of performativity of gender as Butler understands it in his book "Gender Trouble". Secondly, we will develop the coincidences and discrepancies that exist between the substance that enjoys, as that third substance that constitutes the body for Lacan, and the process of materialization of the body from the reformulation of the concept of performativity of Butler raised in “Bodies that matter”. |
