Sumario:The aim of this work is to present the advances in the identification of the Late Intermediate Period (X to XV centuries AD) archaeological sites in the Anfama valley (Dept. Tafí Viejo, Tucumán), where there are no previous records of occupations of this period. The activities combined both the work with members of the community and the archaeological intervention, including the collection of oral testimonies from the inhabitants, the record of pieces in their possession, pedestrian surveys, compass and measuring tape mapping corrected through aerial images captured by drones, and expedited and exploratory surveys. We consider that this data built through different methodologies constitutes a contribution to increase the debate on the nature of the settlements of the LIP on the eastern foothills of the Cumbres Calchaquíes.
