| Sumario: | We analyze the cultural landscapes in several poems by Rubén Darío in his poetry collection Prosas profanas (1896) based on interdisciplinary studies from geography that have been key to architecture. We start with the classic definition of cultural landscapes by Carl O. Sauer, then Sabaté Bel and, finally, Carlos Reboratti. The transition from natural landscapes to landscapes of culture that occurs in geography and architecture is present in Rubén Darío with the aesthetic work of the artifice and the European sources of art that are present in their poems and shape their cultural landscapes, but also, and this is our contribution to the theme, its spiritual landscapes. |
