In this work we will investigate the confrontation that the text establishes with a patriarchal archive that brings together diverse voices, some close, such as that of the Bishop of Puebla, Fernández de Santa Cruz, others, on the other hand, distant in time and coming from philosophers, writers and fathers of the Church; it also argues with an anonymous discourse that configures a way of perceiving women and their abilities. Faced with this patriarchal archive, Sor Juana erects her response in which a female community gains representation and acquires discursive authority. Pieza ejemplar de construcción argumentativa, conocimiento enciclopédico, discurso proto-feminista, astucia y medición de fuerzas, la Respuesta a sor Filotea revisa los grandes estereotipos de la época respecto a la mujer. En este trabajo indagaremos en la confrontación que el texto establece con un archivo patriarcal que reúne voces diversas, algunas próximas, como el obispo de Puebla, Fernández de Santa Cruz, otras, en cambio, distantes en el tiempo y provenientes de filósofos, tratadistas y padres de la Iglesia; también discute con un discurso anónimo que configura un modo de percibir a las mujeres y sus capacidades. Frente a este archivo patriarcal sor Juana erige su respuesta en la que una comunidad femenina gana representación y adquiere autoridad discursiva.
