description Escribir ¿"La Argentina que no fue"? Las economías regionales norteñas en la Revista de Economía Argentina, resultó para mí un desafío interesante. Sólo me animé a poner en tensión la hipótesis de Juan José Llach en su libro clásico de los años 80, cuando sumé más de cuatro décadas y media dedicadas a la investigación de la historia político económica argentina. El propósito esencial fue preguntarme por la situación de las economías más postergadas y monoproductoras del interior del país y puse el acento en el Norte Argentino como ejemplo, para saber ¿cuál era "la Argentina que no fue"?. Durante muchos años los desequilibrios regionales como espacios con problemas y vida propios, no recibieron especial atención de parte de la historiografía argentina. El resultado de este estudio -minucioso y crítico- volvió a mostrar una vez más que la historiografía en la Argentina -al menos- debe ser necesariamente regional.
