Sumario:The article presents a brief overview of Latin American architectures chosen for their vocation to act as community centers. The works were built in the last ten years in vulnerable territories and were selected through a filter of authorship: projects designed by offices directed by women architects. To justify its methodology and selection criteria, the article makes a brief presentation of the social, political, and economic context of the period and its disciplinary impacts on Latin American architecture. It sets the tone for the creative processes of these architectural productions departing from contemporary debates on the production of community spaces.
