Sumario:The article investigates the development of the Balcarce Agricultural Experimental Station, belonging to the National Institute of Agricultural Technology, and its integration with the Faculty of Agronomy dependent on the Catholic University of Mar del Plata in 1963, forming until today the Integrated Unit Balcarce. The reconstruction of this process seeks to recover the actors involved in said institutional dynamics, as well as the development of research areas, without losing sight of the circulation of knowledge and people that occurred from the so-called "Michigan Mission" and the Projects of Technical Cooperation of the Food and Agriculture Organization. In this way, it seeks to put into dialogue the new analytical approaches about the State, which carry out a study "from the inside", in order to address the tensions, confluences of interests and historicity of the aforementioned institutional project. The methodological approach will be based on a qualitative approach, based on the analysis of Technical Bulletins resulting from research published by the EEAB, thesis of the Faculty of Agronomy (FAB) and Reports of Departments of the UIB.
