Sumario:This article analyzes the memories and meanings of neighbors around a location that operated as a Clandestine Detention, Torture and Extermination Center during the State terrorism in Argentina and, nowadays, it is a memorial site. For this, we combined different data collection techniques typical of the qualitative research method. The main results of this research show that spatiality was a stimulating vehicle to anchor, evoke and recreate the memories related to the past of political violence that took place there. Also, it evidences the existence of a long-term memory that goes beyond State terrorism and invokes local social frameworks, diverse uses, affections, and relationships woven from their experiences in that particular territory.
