Sumario:This article presents a qualitative study analyzing the narratives of 20 female social scientists who work as professors and/or researchers at Mexican universities regarding their experiences of sexual harassment and abuse in these academic settings. The objective is to offer a comprehensive view of the impact of these manifestations of gender-based violence in their professional practice, and the strategies developed by them in response to these realities. We present the state of art, the methodology and the analyzis of the testimonies. It concludes with a reflection on the challenges and possibilities of  “raising one's voice”.
