| Sumario: | The purpose of this writing is to foster critical thinking on Human Rights from a Latin American perspective. Grounded in the critical insights of the Frankfurt School the text subsequently introduces the perspectives of various Latin American authors. Beyond mere theoretical postulates, the intention is to prompt a critical discourse, recognizing the necessity of new forms of liberation in response to emerging modes of domination. Drawing a parallel with the historical consequences of instrumental reason leading to barbarism during the Great War in Europe, it becomes evident that the developments in Latin America, both historical and contemporary, have often been overlooked. Consequently, the aim of this paper is to bring attention to this oversight, emphasizing the urgency of revisiting such critical thought and fostering praxis. The integration of social movements becomes a focal point in this pursuit, aiming to inspire meaningful action in the face of evolving challenges. |
