This criticism lies in the fact that Austin’s “Felmanian” interpretation, attached to the letter of the text it interprets, forgets the essentially economic nature of Austin’s theory, supported by the idea of communicative effectiveness, from which the theory of the misfortunes and all the elements that Felman notes as comparable to the Lacanian conception of language and discourse, among which the pleasure produced by jokes and the place occupied by unfortunate and unhappy speech acts. Thus, the thesis is raised that Felman’s reading misses one of the central points of the architecture of Austin’s theory, and lets it escape, to a large extent, due to a “dialectical déficit” in the exercise of its interpretation, particularly in the way in which it conceives the referent of any utterance. El presente artículo discute la lectura que Shoshana Felman realiza de la teoría de los actos de habla de Austin a la luz del psicoanálisis lacaniano, particularmente de los conceptos de deseo, goce e inconsciente. Dicha crítica radica en que la interpretación “felmaniana” de Austin, apegada a la letra del texto que interpreta, olvida la naturaleza esencialmente económica de la teoría austiniana, sustentada en la idea de eficacia comunicativa, a partir de la cual se configura la teoría de los infortunios y todos los elementos que Felman advierte como homologables a la concepción lacaniana del lenguaje y del discurso, entre los que se destacan el placer producido por los chistes y el lugar que ocupan los actos de habla desafortunados e infelices. Así, se plantea la tesis de que la lectura de Felman deja escapar uno de los puntos centrales de la arquitectura de la teoría de Austin, y lo deja escapar, en buena medida, por un “déficit dialéctico” en el ejercicio de su interpretación, particularmente en el modo en que concibe al referente de cualquier enunciación.
