| Sumario: | Julieta Campos’ La forza del destino may be the concretion of an entire poetics of the Caribbean based on her treatment of History and insularity. This paper proposes a critical dialogue between Antonio Benítez Rojo's work in the characterization of the Caribbean and other specific literary works by Césaire, García Márquez and Walcott in order to configure, through Campos's writing career, a poetics of the Caribbean that could integrate identity and territory in its insular dimensions, the multiple paths of writing and the meaning of History in line with a specific rhythmicity in the Caribbean. |
