| Sumario: | The publication of numerous stories by Horacio Quiroga in the illustrated magazine Caras y Caretas, as well as its influence in shaping his image as a writer, is well known. However, the presence of Quiroga's figure and texts in the monthly supplement of Caras y Caretas, Plus Ultra, published between 1916 and 1930, has not been studied. Quiroga published a total of ten stories in Plus Ultra between 1917 and 1920, of which seven remain, to the best of our knowledge, unpublished. Our objective will be, therefore, to explore Quiroga's image in the supplement, as well as the various stories published by the author, especially those that were not later incorporated into a book (although they have inspired, on some occasions, characters and anecdotes that later appear in other narrations). |
