Nervi traced the trajectory of teachers from the end of the 19th century to the dawn of the 21st century. He highlighted the strong scientific foundation of the praxis they developed in the classroom. He conceived the teacher as a militant for social causes. They also managed to transform the classroom into a psycho-pedagogical laboratory. His praxis, articulation of theory and practice, imagined new techniques understood as “art evolved, transformed by science.” He highlighted the creative power of these teachers, with severe criticism of the state bureaucracy that imposed limitations on them. For Nervi, “the pedagogy of action is art clarified by science” that is, a novel articulation between praxis and poiesis. Abordo en este trabajo el ideario pedagógico del multifacético autor argentino, distinguido por la UBA como “fundador de las Ciencias de la Educación en Argentina”. Analizo su contribución en los escritos periodísticos donde su discurso fluye con elocuenciaemocional y estilo exuberante. Nervi recorrió la trayectoria de maestros desde fines del siglo XIX hasta los albores del siglo XXI. Destacó el fuerte fundamento científico de la praxis que desarrollaron en el aula y concibió al docente como militante por las causassociales. Ellos lograron, además, transformar el aula en laboratorio psicopedagógico. Su praxis, articulación de teoría y práctica, imaginó nuevas técnicas entendidas como “arte evolucionada, transformada por la ciencia”.Destacó la potencia creadora de estos maestros, con críticas severas a la burocracia estatal que les impuso limitaciones. Para Nervi, “la pedagogía de la acción es arte esclarecido por la ciencia” es decir, una articulación novedosa entre praxis y poiesis.
