Sumario:This article explores the support areas of US Foreign Aid to strengthen the Justice Sector in El Salvador. The study was carried out from June 1, 2019, to December 31, 2021, and includes a review of projects and programs financed by US cooperation to the justice sector institutions in El Salvador. For the systematic approach to the research, a qualitative methodology has been applied based on interviews with seven government institutions, as well as a documentary review that allows the analysis of the perspective of the different actors involved. The results obtained allow characterizing existing conditions in the organization chart of the Justice Sector and reveal potentialities and challenges in the management of international cooperation. The study proposes improvements in technical and administrative management within the pertinent institutions and greater transparency in the areas to which support has been provided, making possible to identify areas of priorization for the cooperation flows granted.
