This article examines the opportunities and challenges faced by this relationship, focusing on Argentina's strategic role as a supplier of critical resources, such as lithium and green hydrogen, within the framework of the EU's quest for strategic autonomy. Through an analysis of recent dynamics, including the supply crises triggered by the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, the possibilities for a renewed agenda that promotes closer cooperation are discussed.
