| Sumario: | The factories located in Santa Felicia and in the rural area of Mocoví (Province of Santa Fe, Argentina) were established at the beginning of the 20th century with the aim of producing tannin extract from the exploitation of the quebrachocolorado tree present in the region. Their installation was made possible by several factors, among them the privatization of public land, the establishmentof transport and communication systems and the construction of housing and basic necessities. The aim of this article is to present the advances in the documentary and field study of the archaeological remains of the factories, since the vestiges of this industry constitute a valuable testimony to understand the history and present of the region. |
