Sumario:The article attempts to recover the degree work of the lic. of social work from the Santiago del Estero University with a topic that does not present research history in the province and the Argentine Northwest. The objective of the work is framed in understanding the process of identity construction of AMMAR-Santiago del Estero from the production of meanings of its members around the relationships of buying and selling sex and its resignification as a work practice and its impact on the demands for the recognition of labor and social rights in the period 2004-2019. To do this, a qualitative methodology is adopted with an exploratory-descriptive research design from an ethnographic approach that allowed the performance of field work recovering the voices of the actors and their meanings about their history and practices. It is pertinent, in this way, to recover the identity construction of the subsidiary, on the one hand, from relevant historical events of the provincial context, and on the other hand, through the performance of collective action repertoires. It is significant to contribute to the vacancy on this research topic because it is an advance in relation to making visible the violation of rights towards this group as part of the manifestation of the new social issue.
