Taken together, the issues explored in the various articles span four millennia of Near-Eastern history, and the objects of interest of each of the investigations differ widely from one another; nevertheless, the backdrop of each of the analyses is constituted by the relations between societies and the multiplicity of dynamics in which they materialised. El presente dossier se compone de una compilación de trabajos que podemos situar en el vasto campo temático de historia de las relaciones inter-estatales. En su conjunto, las cuestiones indagadas en los diversos artículos abarcan cuatro milenios de historia próximo oriental y los objetos de interés de cada una de las investigaciones difieren ampliamente entre sí; no obstante, el telón de fondo de cada uno de los análisis está constituido por las relaciones entre sociedades y la multiplicidad de dinámicas en que aquellas se materializaban.
