In turn, the studies carried out have focused on the interventions of Saudi Arabia and Iran, neglecting the role of other external actors – especially the United Arab Emirates – and often giving a secondary role to the actions of Yemeni actors. Therefore, this article aims to make a contribution to make up for part of this deficit. First, the main characteristics of Emirati politics are analysed, exposing the interests and identity cleavages that determine its foreign policy, which have drove Abu Dhabi's involvement in this conflict, becoming a central actor. Subsequently, an attempt will be made to elucidate the dynamics of Emirati involvement, analysing the alliances forged with Yemeni actors and the main actions carried out. Finally, an assessment of its participation will be made, considering the gains and losses, and the impact it had on the relationship with Riyadh, one of its main allies in the region. Resumen: El conflicto en Yemen ha sido calificado como “la peor crisis humanitaria del siglo”. Pero, paradójicamente es uno de los menos analizados y ocupa un lugar relegado en la agenda internacional. A su vez, los análisis realizados se han centrado en las intervenciones de Arabia Saudita e Irán, descuidando el rol de otros actores externos – especialmente Emiratos Árabes Unidos – y muchas veces dando un papel secundario al accionar de los actores yemeníes. Por ello, este artículo se propone hacer un aporte para suplir parte de este déficit. En primer lugar, se analizan las principales características de la política emiratí, exponiendo los intereses y clivajes identitarios que determinan su política exterior y que impulsaron el involucramiento de Abu Dabi en este conflicto, convirtiéndose en un actor central. Posteriormente, se intentará dilucidar la dinámica del involucramiento emiratí, analizando las alianzas que tejió con los actores yemeníes y las principales acciones que llevó adelante. Finalmente, se hará un balance de su participación, considerando las ganancias y pérdidas, y el impacto que tuvo en la relación con Riad, uno de sus principales aliados en la región.
