Sumario:Pedro José Agrelo’s performance in 1812 was of singular importance for the political process and for the analysis of the redefinition of the lawyers and jurists, who figures like him, had to carry out before the deep political and institutional changes. For all this and given the lack of specific work, the article proposes to study the character of his performance as prosecutor and judge of the Revolution that was conducted from Buenos Aires, through which we will seek to understand the articulation that occurred between the political factions in relation to the institutional redefinition of law. This will make it possible to understand, through Agrelo’s case, how political tensions were integrated with legal practices and the new projects outlined, taking as a temporal parameter only the first half of 1812, given the complexity of processes articulated there.
