Sumario:Argentine cultural history constitutes an area of hybrid inquiry with blurred epistemological boundaries that was shaped by both sensibilities that preceded the European cultural turn and heterodox readings, local translations and critical adaptations of the anthropological turn.  Unlike what happened in the northern hemisphere, where the New Cultural History became the unifying element of academic activity and ended up eclipsing social history, in Argentina cultural history has functioned as an addition rather than a replacement for other analytical models.
