Sumario:e category of heritage revaluation emerged a few decades ago as a constitutive element of urban and political discourse. Until then, his presence in planning had been elusive,if not, nonexistent. Nowadays it works as a constitutive reference of the city, its identity, its memory; his speech turns speech into a progressive piece with democratizing intentions. In acity like today, marked by financialization, flexibility, inequality, segregation, what role do history and heritage play? This article proposes a critical journey through the notion of heritage revaluation in the city of Rosario (Santa Fe), paying particularattention to its emergence and its application in an iconic spatiality: Puerto Norte. This spatiality works as a stratigraphiccomposition, each layer houses the fossil of a different productive stage. A transversal reading through the different layers will help us to reveal what senses are hidden and exhibited in port spaces and their heritage.
